It’s going to be a pretty exciting weekend at Renninger’s Kutztown Farmers Market starting tomorrow. First, we bottled our hops series this week which includes 5 different hops varieties to try side by side. As far as we can tell, hoppy apple cider vinegar is our own invention, and it has been so wildly popular that we decided to try several different varieties at once. We want everyone to come out to the market to try these varieties and vote for your favorite (and take some home). Second, we bottled a new mind-blowing, face-melting infusion: Pineapple Habanero! This infusion is
We’re heading into a big weekend! Renninger’s Kutztown is having their June Antiques and Collectibles Extravaganza starting tomorrow, June 28th, at 10:00 AM. At the same time, the Kutztown Folk Festival begins Saturday, June 30th and runs all week long. That means a lot of people will be coming into Kutztown this weekend, and hopefully, many of them will come into the Market for food, fun and vinegar. In vinegar news, we just bottled our first batch of local garlic scapes infusion. Garlic scapes (pictured right) are the long, winding flower part of the garlic that grows above ground. Scapes
Happy Extravaganza! The bi-annual Antiques & Collectors Extravaganza at Renninger’s Kutztown Market starts today. Thousands of antiquers and collectors will descend on tiny Kutztown this weekend to pick through primitive, rare and valuable items. We’ve only been privy to this spectacle as observers. We’re a little intimidated to be on the sell side this time. With that in mind, we only have a few of our most popular varieties available, but we have a lot of them! It feels like we’ve been bottling non-stop. We have: Basil Fyre Cyder Garlic Ginger Hot Cherry Habanero Jalapeno Here are the deets for
Renninger’s Market was featured this week on KUTV, Kutztown University’s local access station. Kara Urland and crew stopped by the market to talk to vendors, including Vine St. Vinegar. Check out this great piece they put together. We pop up around 2:17. Thanks to KUTV for the feature!
Due to the 9 or so inches of snow we got, we weren’t able to get to the Market to bottle everything we had on hand. We got some bottling done, but it’s much less than we were expecting. We still have plenty of infusions available for this weekend. See you at the Market!
Wow! What a great weekend! Thank you to everyone who came out and took home some infused apple cider vinegar. The garlic was wildly popular, and nearly sold out. Don’t worry, we have the next batch ready to bottle. Turmeric turned out to be the second most popular infusion. We were shocked by the number of people using turmeric for it’s many purported health benefits. It’s awesome! We still have some turmeric, hot cherry pepper, ginger, and jalapeno left for next week. Basil is definitely ready, and will be available in large and small bottles. Garlic will be restocked in
